Lucy Loo 'Longpipe"

Another release day of  a new digital stamp from Unky at The East Wind. She has drawn up another Lucy Loo in her traditional korean hanbok dress and called it 'Longpipe'.
You can grab the stamp here
Here is the first sneak peek I shared on Instagram and as you can see I decided to colour with the no lines version. I love the effect it has when the lines aren't showing.

Here is the next sneak peek

And the last sneak peek showing the little kitty that she is lying next to.

Here she is all coloured on the front of the easel card i made.
And here is the card open.
i have coloured Lucy with polychromos pencils. The cardstock i used are from Kaisercraft and the colours are duck egg and lollypop.I love these two colours together. The patterned paper is from the kaisercraft paper pad 'All that glitters' and the flowers are from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated and says 'Relax, enjoy your day'.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges.

613 Avenue Create Design Inspiration for challenge #125

Today is the start of a new challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. It is also an anything goes challenge so you can be super creative just how you like or you can get creative with the table to create a challenge for yourself.
A day for daises is a sponsor this week and to my happy surprise being a guest designer I have now found them :) I have to say they have some gorgeous stamps and in the future will be using many of them. You can head to their shop here
I have used one of their digital stamps called 'Flowers for Mommy'
I have used the create a challenge table
1. Digital stamp
2.watercolour
3.Solid colour paper
4.Stitching
5. square card.
I have used inktense watercolour pencils to colour the stamp and create the background.
The sentiment is computer generated and I have machine stitched around  the image to create a nice framing.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges.

Lucy Loo 'silver knife'

New release day at The East Wind again today.
This time Unky has drawn up a traditional looking Lucy Loo in her Hanbok outfit standing in front of a silver knife. You can purchase the digital stamp here digital-stamp-lucy-loo-silver-knife
After a bit of googling I read that silver knives were a common item to conceal on a person in case they were needed. They were a small knife and some have beautiful carvings on them.
Anyhow here are my sneak peeks I shared on instagram (you can follow me at @ericabruton)

And here is my finished piece.

I have used polychromos pencils to colour lucy in and used inktense watercolour pencils for the background. I decided to giver her some stairs to be walking down out of something she may have been struggling with. The sentiment is computer generated and the punch edge is an EK success flower petal punch (i can't remember what flower though).
I am super happy how the background brought this image to life. as you can see in the photo below she would have been missing something without it. Backgrounds are one of my favourite things to make at the moment. It gives me a chance to play around.

I will be entering this creation into the following challenges

613 Avenue create DT inspiration for May 10th

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all well :)
I have here a Inspiration card for the challenge over at 613 Avenue Create for challenge #123 Let's celebrate.
I have used a Poppy Seed Graphics digital stamp called Fairy of March you can grab her here.
I would give this card for a birthday or any occasion really.
I made a larger card measuring approximately 6" x 8" high. I coloured the stamp with polychromos and did the background with inktense pencils. The wings outline was fairly thick so i dulled the lines with a white gel pen.
Seeing she is a fairy i decided to give her more of a glow in her skin and used yellows instead of the usual pinks. I decided to add a bunch of die cut leaves. some of which are the new kaisercraft vines dies and a couture creations one which i cut in half (the scrolly looking one). The little leaves are a martha stewart punch and the grass type bits i made myself. I didnt want to cover it in flowers as there are daffodils in the stamp so i decided to make a few stick pins with beads and pearls matching the earthy yellow colours. i also added some gold/brown pearl garland near the bottom to keep it balanced.
